Prayer of Thanks During the New Year

God,
We thank You for all that You’ve done, we thank you for preserving us and protecting us from all harm and danger to the body, mind, and soul to which we would not be able to stand, and so we may look to the future…no matter how short-term of a wait, like this new year of 2024, or waiting with patience and endurance on the long-term, (until we finally see you face to face) without hope. Even the short-term seasons of waiting feel like long-term but you are mindful of us, and we thank you.

Our world is full of brokenness that only You can mend, so we pray for opportunities to boldly proclaim the hope we have in You.

We pray for believers all over the world—that they would be unified in You, loving and supporting each other.

In all things, help us to fix our hope on You this year.

Give us strength to persevere, courage to share Your good news, and peace in knowing that You are always with us. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
